East Kent Mencap Quiz Night Success
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUCCESS FOR CHARITY QUIZ NIGHT
Local learning disability charity, East Kent Mencap, were delighted to raise over £350 at their Charity Quiz Night last Friday 7 November. Teams included staff from Westwood Cross, The Foreland School and the charity itself as well as many other friends and supporters.
Fundraiser Jane Brooke said ‘We’ve been running quizzes for a couple of years now but this was our first time at Stonelees Golf Centre, who offered us their Saxon Suite for free, and it was great to be in such a smart, welcoming space. They also donated a round of golf for the raffle, which proved very popular and helped to raise money to run more services for people with learning disabilities which are always needed. We are already planning another quiz in the New Year.’
The photo shows the winning team ‘Lucy’s Gang’ enjoying their prize chocolates with Quiz Master and Mistress James and Teresa Lampert.
