Vote for East Kent as UK City of Culture

As bizarre as it may seem The whole of East Kent is applying to become the 2017 City of Culture. Yep a whole area as a city! I for one will be doing my bit to see we don't fail. I can remember visiting Liverpool pre and post their award and the difference was spectacular. Streets of slums transformed and the buzz of  the town was quiet tangible you could feel how proud the area was and still is. It created investment in the rundown areas and that is something we can look forward too if we win the bid, so get behind it go to  www.eastkent2017.co.uk/ and get involved. There is a whole website of ideas so talk it up on your Facebook and twitter accounts and lets get behind the bid, it can only be good for Kent,
