I have just read with disappointment that Tony is giving up blogging. It was reading one of his posts that first started me blogging, so I will miss his dry wit and critical views but wish him well. I just hope the few critics who drove him from the  Thanet Blog Scene are pleased. I must say I have not always seen eye to eye with Tony but have always respected he has his own views and that mine will often differ from other peoples.

  1. Maybe if he wrote about Margate again instead of his increasingly desperate posts trying to convince us how great the Lib Dems are (and how evil Clive Hart is) then maybe he'd inspire himself again. I miss the Tony Flaig of old, but I won't miss his latter day blog.

  2. I totally agree with you Don ... it was Tony's blog that inspired me to have a go too.
I also totally agree with you Peter ... I am afraid that local politicians appear so puerile and ineffective ... yada, yada, yada!
Tried to thank Tony via his own comments box, but it said ,members only, or some such nonsense.

  3. I mainly blog to please myself. If anyone else likes what I write or photograph then great, but if they don't then it'sno big deal either. If allowed my critics to get me down then I wouldn't have lasted a week! Maybe what Tony should do instead is what myself, Simon, Luke and several other local bloggers do: only publish the comments that we want to. That way there's no blaming others when we've ran out of inspiration has Tony clearly has.

  4. I agree with all of the above but will miss Tony much the same as I missed ECR (who's ECR)

Thank you for commenting on my blog, your comments mean a lot to me and I love to read them. Defamatary comments will be removed
