Yep it is Tuesday and that can only mean one thing RUBY TUESDAY 2 and a quick flick through photos of the last week has turned up some giant tomatoes advertised on the Tesco supermarket wall. My wife tells me they wont fit in her carrier bag so I havent tasted them or the giant carrots advertised in the poster next display along they must be ten feet long.

  4. Ha ha, very funny! I was in Margate last September for two weeks, it being where my surviving brother's and
    families live (Westbrook), so I blogged photos of
    memorable childhood places. I do love the addition of
    the Turner Museum - unfortunately, the galleries were
    closed at the time for a new installation, but the
    cafe was good, sporting excellent coffee!

  5. In answer to your question, my brother-in-law's name is David and he comes from Folkstone, though lives in London and Shoreham now. I would have emailed you but the system doesn't seem to allow that anymore!
    When I passed through Cliftonville recently, I noticed
    that Bobby's has gone! I once worked there in my youth!

  7. You can't get much rubier than a ripe, red tomato--even if it is on a sign!

    BOY IN BRIGHT RED SHORTS

    Boy in bright red shorts,
    With a shirt of blue,
    Strolling on the Malecón —
    I wish I were you;

    Carefree and content,
    Nothing much to do,
    Chillin’ in your bright red shorts
    And your shirt of blue.
