Creative Quarter opens to celebrate Tracey Emin launch With ‘Late Night at The Creative Quarter’
30 April – 2 May 2010
Old Town, Margate

To celebrate the launch of Tracey Emin’s neon art work I Never Stopped Loving You on 30 April, Margate’s Creative Quarter has lined up an array of special events to give visitors and locals a great evening and Bank Holiday weekend.

Margate Old Town’s Creative Quarter is thriving with creativity and the arts, with a range of galleries, cafes and niche shops. Set back from the harbour, the Old Town’s rich history combined with increasing regeneration has yet to be fully appreciated by many visitors.

On Friday 30 April the shops and galleries will remain open until 9pm for ‘Late Night at the Creative Quarter’, coinciding with the opening of Emin’s latest art work; a neon text installed on the façade of Droit House, one of the most distinctive buildings on Margate’s seafront.

Shops staying open until late include Qing Art, The Cupcake Café, Helter Skelter, Etcetera, My Old Dutch, Betty B’s, Anthony Wait ,The Antiques Shop and many bars and restaurants
